8D by Chipzzz is a game about avoiding brown squares and lasers as long as possible, and increasing health points by grabbing coins to buy more lives in later rounds.

How to play

Use the joystick to move at a direction, and you start the 1st game with only 1 life indicated by the trail.

In the 1st 45 seconds, the squares will always shoot straight at the indicated arrow randomly, alternating from left and right sides, and will cost you a life if you get hit by one, and the farthest part of the trail will detatch accordingly.

When 10 seconds passes, the laser becomes visible and will always target at you until 3.5 seconds passes, where it stops. When 1.5 seconds passes afterwards, the laser shoots and will cause the laser cycle to repeat again. You lose a life if you get hit by it. The game gets faster after a bit of time passed since the laser shot.

A coin always appears in 10 second cycles at the start of the 1st game and are worth 10 coins if you grab a coin by going into said coin.

In 30 seconds, the game starts to change the angle of view which would affect joystick movement due to its relativity and will always change in 15 second cycles onwards. In 45 seconds, the attack pattern of the squares becomes modified to be more dificult, as the 1st 2 attacks work like normal, but then the 3rd shot will zigzag starting up on the left side, and then the next 2 attacks work like normal again, but the 6th shot will zigzag down starting on the right.

If you lost all lives, you lose the game and the score is tallied by how long you lasted in the game. Note there is a killscreen time of 1:50.00, which will be considered nearly undodgable due to the speed the squares are being shot, forcing you to waste laves, eventually ending your run.

Shop

  • Lives: Costs 100 at start (however you get 1 for free at the start), Doubles the cost per purchase, and gives you 1 extra life at the start of the all the next games, consequently increasing your trail length. Max of 10 lives.
  • Coin Frequency: Costs 100 at start, Cost increments by 100 at per purchase, and reduces the cooldown of the coin by 0.4 seconds. You can upgrade 20 times maximum.
  • Coin value: Costs 100 at start, Cost increments by 100 per purchase, and it increases the value of grabbing a coin by 10 per upgrade. Can be purchased infinitely.
