Toy Tanks is a game made by EMM Arcade. There are 30 levels and the goal is to destroy all of the enemy tanks until there's no more left.

Gameplay

You play as a Blue Tank placed in a wood arena. The game starts off easy as the first level just gives you one tank and a few walls to move around. As you play, the game ramps up in difficulty.

Controls:
∘ Use the left joystick to move.
∘ Use the right joystick to shoot.
∘ You can shoot up to a maximum of 5 bullets before you stop shooting, after this, you must wait for one of your bullets to collide with something in order to reload.

As you play, new-colored enemy tanks will slowly be introduced which have different abilities.

Tank Types

Different types of enemy tanks with different colors and abilities is what makes this game interesting. Brown:
This tank doesn't move and fires bullets randomly in pretty random directions. This tank appears in level 1.

Grey:
This tank unlike the Brown one does move and has better aim, but this one only shoots when it sees the player. This tank appears at level 2.

Teal:
This if the first tank that's quite unusual. This tank is slower than the Grey one but it fires Rockets that are faster than any other bullet, they can be hard to dodge. This tank appears in level 5.

Yellow: This tank moves like the Grey Tank but it shoots rarely, the only thing special about this tank is that it can throw bombs in any direction. The bombs last a few seconds before they hit the ground and explode. This tank appears in level 9.

Red:
This tank also moves, there's nothing too special about this tank but one thing that it can do is shoot bullets rapidly making them hard to deal with. This tank appears in level 11.

Green:
This tank doesn't move like the Brown one but it has better aim and it can shoot rockets. Unlike regular rockets, these things can curve around walls and other enemy tanks making them very scary to deal with, but they arent so bad from a distance. This tank appears in level 13.

Purple: This tank unlike any other tank so far is pretty smart. It moves at the same speed at the player and it can dodge bullets by moving backwards. They can also shoot at a similar rate to the player. This tank appears in level 16.

White: This tank behaves similarly to the Purple one but it shoots more rapidly. One thing that makes this tank even harder to deal with is that when the level begins, they turn invisible. The only thing they leave behind is their tracks but you can't get an exact idea where they really are. This tank appears in level 20.

Black: This is the final tank of Toy Tanks and it's one of the hardest. This tank is the fastest tank which moves faster than the player. It also shoots rockets directly at the player and can throw bombs. Unlike Yellow Tanks, the Black one throws their bombs straight at the player so when you stay idle for too long, you will get hit by a bomb from a Black Tank. This Tank appears in level 25.

Strategy

One of the best things to do when dealing with a hard level is to go straight at one of the harder tanks, this can lower the remaining difficulty faster and all you'll have to do left is deal with the easier tanks which isn't hard. Just don't go for those Green Tanks first.

Extras

∘ This game was inspired by a different one that wasn't associated with Fancade.
∘ This game has a sequel called Toy Tanks 2 with more mechanics, special stages, and tanks. Toy Tanks 2 was going to have a Bossfight stage at level 50 but it was scrapped due to the complexity of making one, leaving the game with 49 levels. ∘ This game (Toy Tanks) could have made it into the Action category.
